Ciao/Arrivederci

A new name, a new adventure.

So long, "Dolce Far Niente," may we meet again. You can now call me "Girl Eats Italia" because that's what I do. A month today, I will be sitting down for dinner in my favourite little local Italian restaurant, back with my favourite little local Italian man in Italy.

It's been a time, but I don't want to bore you with dramatic personal details, the fact is that I'm getting back into the blog game and also the "Instagram what I eat abroad" game. The plane ticket purchase was really on a whim but had been a long time coming because as of when I get back, it will have been 6 months since seeing my guy and a year since leaving Italian soil. This is the longest I've stayed away from the magical country of Italy in the last 5 years! I miss it, who wouldn't miss it? The food, the food, the food, the wine, the people, the language, the vistas, the drunken midnight walks in search of piadina, the lazy Sundays in the Italian countryside, I want it all, I miss it all, I will have it all once again! Honestly, my objective here is not to make you jealous but to entice you to visit the wonder country and more specifically, Abruzzo, the region in which I spend my time. It's magical and apparently the greenest region in Europe.

With leaving Canada comes a whole slue of emotions that are mixed and not all good but balanced out by the promise of pizza! I had to say goodbye to a job that I like, housekeeping, not glamorous gig but full of good people that make the job so much better!

This is a quick blog post to re-introduce myself and allow you to get acquainted with my blog (which I plan to contribute to more regularly, starting now).

If you haven't already done so, please give my 'grams a gander and follow:

Look forward to getting to know you all, don't hesitate to drop me a line with questions or just hellos! Welcome, welcome.
